Did Super Bowl Sunday find you a little too indulgent? Or maybe it was a recent girls night out? For me, there was 1 too many cocktails on my birthday last week. But hey, it’s all good. Life is a series of choices and, hopefully, we’re just doing the best we can in the moment. Not going to lie, though… I didn’t feel my best the day after those drinks. Health Chat – Potential Dangers Of A Keto Diet
While we’re on the subject of detox, there are many who refer to the ketogenic diet – widely known as “keto” — as a kind of detoxification plan. Before we get to that, though… let’s discuss its recent popularity for a hot minute. I’m sure you’ve seen the term keto pop up everywhere these days. You can’t miss it! Celebrities, such as: Halle Berry, Kourtney Kardashian, and Kobe Bryant are addicted to this diet lifestyle and continue to market it as a “reset button” for your health. If you go into Google and do a custom search for the term “ketogenic diet,” you’ll find people are searching for it 6x more than at the same time last year!
The overriding belief is that to shed weight you should replace your body’s usual dependent energy supply, carbs, with fats. That it’s possible to shift your body from being the traditional “sugar burner” to one of a “fat burning” machine!

And, well, you get it. It seems, much of the time, we’re not even aware of our unhealthy routine. It just becomes our normal.
