Watching Football Makes You Fat

Well, in this episode, I talk you through all of those cravings and I show you the path to victory! Sunday is the second worst holiday in terms of the amount of food people put in their bodies… and, unlike Thanksgiving, this isn’t just turkey and mashed potatoes. So it’s important to have a plan. You’ll want to listen to this episode twice: once now and once on your way to the party on Sunday!

So here are some helpful tips to get you ready to conquer Super Bowl Sunday in a healthy way!

Screen Shot 2015-01-29 at 6.03.52 AMBefore heading to the party, exercise! When we exercise we respect ourselves more and want to do good by our body. My recommendation is to do a steady state workout, not something that leaves you ravenous!

Try some healthy food options. Here are some healthy tips! Try eggplant hummus, or making the guacamole yourself with just lemon, pepper and a touch of salt. Eat healthy vegetables instead of chips and crackers.

Make sure when your fixing your plate, grab a smaller plate.

Show up late and get in the food line last. If your first everything is available and you’ll most likely go back for seconds.

Screen Shot 2015-01-29 at 6.03.13 AMNow this one might stop you in your tracks… no alcohol. Yep I said it, no alcohol! Why waste all of those calories through a straw. Alcohol makes us lose our inhibitions and we end up making poor food decisions.

Know that you’re in control and the decisions are yours. I’m rooting for you and I think ultimately you should make the decision that rights for you! Just know that there are options.
